Hon’ble Chief Minister, Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu, launched drones that are manufactured in Visakhapatnam, branded as ‘Made in Andhra Pradesh’, which are first-of-their-kind drones to be deployed in for capturing the progress of rural roads. The drone based governance is used in tourism, agricultural sector, mines, forests, irrigation projects, maintenance of law and order and better municipal administration.
A state-level command control centre has been set up in the state capital along with similar major command control centres in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati and Anantapur, besides district headquarters, to help in real time governance.
The ongoing Polavaram project has real time monitoring and tracking by the hi-tech drones deployed at the site. In order to track the status of the Polavaram multi-purpose irrigation project, Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu is monitoring all the works through the drone cameras deployed at the project.
